Take the 100 Day Praise Challenge

I was always taught that the “Our Father” is a guide for how we should pray.  It starts “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name”.  The prayer immediately begins praising the Lord.  How do you start your prayers?  Many of us may start our prayers thanking and praising God but then we immediately jump into what I like to call, the “What can You do for me today” part.  In most cases, requesting the things that we need or want is the bulk of our prayer life while praise lags behind.   God has called us to praise Him, at all times and in spite of our circumstances.

1 Thessalonians 5:18: Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Amazing things happen when we praise Him, especially when we praise Him in the midst of our trials. The book of Psalms is dedicated to praises and reveals the importance of praising in spite of hardship.  David championed this and in spite of facing persecution and death, he praised and in the end, he was victorious; he was stronger and it drew him closer to God.

Praise allows us to focus on the One that has the power to answer all our needs; the more we praise Him, the more we realize how much bigger He is than our problem.  Praise increases our faith and brings us joy in the midst of our pain. Praise propels us to live a life that is pleasing to our Father because the more we worship Him, the more we want to be like Him.  Praise fuels our souls and strengthens us to fight temptation and to keep the hope and trust that we need to breakthrough our circumstances.

W2WSoul recognizes the importance of praise and worship and is dedicating the next 100 days to praising our Lord Jesus Christ. We invite you to take the 100 day praise challenge. Praise the Lord even when you don’t feel like it – keep pressing forward and keep praising Him.  We guarantee that you will see a positive change in your relationship with Him and in any trial that you may be experiencing today.

As part of our 100 day praise challenge, we will post praise scriptures on a daily basis on the sidebar of our website and share them with our readers via Facebook, Twitter and email. We have also attached a PDF document with all 100 praise scriptures. We encourage you to download it and to make at least one praise scripture each day for the next 100 days, a significant part of your prayers.

We at W2W will be praising Him and thanking him for what He is doing through us and for readers like you that are shining His light and spreading the good news.  Will you take the challenge?

The 100 Day Praise Challenge starts, June 22, 2010 and ends September 29, 2010 (of course, our praising should never end when the challenge is over ;-) )
