I think I'm going to look into getting this printed.I used to stare at illustrations like this when I was a kid for hours at a time. There was something magical about old lineart and woodcut illustrations. I hope I did the technique justice with this one.

Don’t Feed The Animals

“Don’t feed the animals”
Stated clearly on the sign
What harm can be done?
I’ll feed them just this one time

Like a docile fool, you play into their hands
Only to be pursued, by their further demands
A one time meal, now a feeding frenzy
To satisfy these animals, that will always be hungry

Message

To feed the flesh is to deprive the spirit;
To increase the flesh is to decrease the spirit;
