The truth is that all Christians are called to be perfect, and one cant become a perfect christian by just following some rules and leaving out the rest. You are absolutely right when you say that people these days seem to accept only the words of the Bible which they like. The truth is that all Christians are called to be perfect, and one cant become a perfect christian by just following some rules and leaving out the rest.

And when I say this, I do not mean that being christian is all about following a set of rules. It is much more than that. It is about a relationship with Jesus Christ who is the source of all life and freedom.

Thanks for sharing your concerns about "living" outside of what God intends. I think we are all guilty of this in some degree or another. I guess thats why we need sanctification after we become christians :) Its good to have our eyes open for this on ourselves so that we can constantly change to become more like Christ and on others so that we can encourage them into good works.
