About “Kaleb”
While I am a divorced, single working mother, I am “every woman,” fighting the good fight everyday and struggling with many things. I love music; I love writing and even more than that, I love writing to music. A quick glance through my “Top 25 Most Played” IPOD playlist is a clear insight to my diverse and colorful character. Moreover, to browse my writings is to peek through the window to my soul and to the heart of what really matters in my life. To some, it is a strength; to others, a weakness; but either way, I am candid, honest and open about who I am and, as you will see on this site, I am willing to leave my “window” open for the edification and encouragement of others. To coin a phrase from one of my favorite songs (The Reason by Hoobastank), “I’m not a perfect person, there’s many things I wish I didn’t do, but I continue learning….” and I continue growing and persevering because of who I am in my Lord and Savior Christ Jesus. I am not perfect but I am made perfect because of Him.
About “Hannah”
While I am a single woman in my forties, I am a big kid at heart. I enjoy traveling and have done so extensively. I am quite reserved, however, I enjoy sharing my faith and advising/counseling others.
About “Liza”
Having recently turned 50, I am at a turning point in my life that holds new challenges which I pray I will face with boldness and courage. Things such as, my son turning 18 soon and going off to college leaving me to face the empty nest all alone? Then there’s the menopause issue, the flashes, the searing heat that I’m already experiencing; with that I am faced with not only discomfort but the harsh reality that I am past the childbearing age. Then of course there is the financial issue – have I properly prepared for retirement? Also, am I ready/do I even want to start dating again, to find that someone to share the rest of my life with? I think you can see that I’ll be holding onto Joshua 1:9 a lot, which states "Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." As I recall the last 14 years of life as a single mom, I know that Jesus was with me all the way. He has taken me this far and has blessed me so much. Why would I ever doubt His presence in my future? A little about me: I love to travel, cook (and eat), read, watch sappy movies and just hang out with my wonderful friends for hours on end.
